Lecturer

Mr. Stef Harley
Global Posture Systems expert
Master in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy
(Vrije University Brussels - Belgium)
Stef holds a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium. He is an international speaker, lecturer and researcher on postural re-education, injury prevention, performance optimisation and therapeutic pathways as a global, holistic approach to the patient, in which healthy, correct global posture plays a central role. In his own private physiotherapy practice in Slovenia, he treats a wide variety of patients, injuries and disorders.

Among his large patient base there are also many top professional athletes, world and Olympic champions. Since 2008, global posture assessment and analysis have played a central role in Stef’s therapeutic thinking and clinical reasoning.

In his practice he relies on state-of-the-art global posture assessment and therapeutic equipment and devices, supplied by Chinesport s.p.a. of Udine (Italy).

Who can be interested in this course?

Conventional diagnostic and therapeutic approaches often fail to address the underlying causes of posture-related injuries and disorders. This can lead to treatment failure and frequent relapses. Many therapists have found that including the patient’s global posture in the clinical reasoning paradigm is key to an effective, fast and efficient treatment process. Performing a detailed global posture analysis is an essential part of a more holistic therapeutic approach and treatment strategy.

Global posture represents a common language among the various medical disciplines. There is always value in considering and observing the patient as whole, whether from a curative or preventive viewpoint. That is why global posture assessment and analysis is key in an interdisciplinary approach to the patient. This course is thus recommended for the following professional categories:
  • Chiropractor
  • Dentist
  • ENT specialist
  • General practitioner
  • Kinesiologist
  • Massage therapist
  • Ophthalmologist
  • Orthopaedic specialist
  • Orthopaedic technician

The course seems to me an excellent initiative and I see the format well. The slides supporting the concepts expressed and the muscles mentioned are truly important.

Good idea. It is very useful.

Dr. Bogdan Ambrožič (Slovenia)

Very systematic explanation of concept of posture from basic to advance level (highly recommended). Most important for me was to understand clinical implication of poor posture on Musculo-skeletal system.
